Abu Shagara, Sharjah

Drainage & Sewage Tanker Service in Abu Shagara

Dense apartment blocks, shops underneath them, and a tank cover with a car parked on it.

Or dial direct: +971 54 246 3788

Abu Shagara is one of the older dense parts of Sharjah: apartment blocks from the eighties and nineties, ground-floor shops and cafeterias, and every kerb taken by a parked car from late afternoon onwards. The drainage work here is rarely complicated in itself — a building holding tank, a backed-up manhole, a chamber behind a shop. What makes it a job rather than a visit is getting a 5,000-gallon tanker close enough to do it. We work these streets constantly and plan for that rather than being surprised by it.

Abu Shagara sits west of us along King Abdul Aziz Street, a short run from Muwaileh. The useful consequence is timing rather than distance: we can offer a morning slot before the street fills up with parked cars, which is often the difference between a job that takes an hour and one that cannot be done at all.

What we handle in Abu Shagara

  • Building holding and underground tank emptying and cleaning
  • Blocked manholes and inspection chambers pumped out
  • Wastewater removed from ground-floor shops, cafeterias and laundries
  • Car park and service area water removal
  • Scheduled collection for buildings with no one person tracking the tank
  • Early-morning slots agreed in advance for streets that fill with parked cars

Access is the whole job here

Almost every failed visit in a district like this comes down to one of four things, and all four are answerable before we set off. If you can tell us about them on the phone, we bring the right vehicle and the right hose length and the job gets done first time.

  • A car parked over the tank cover or the manhole — the single most common one, and the reason we suggest morning slots
  • A cover that has been paved, tiled or built over during a refurbishment and nobody remembers where it is
  • No kerbside space for a loaded tanker within hose reach of the cover
  • A tank shared between two buildings, or between a building and the shops beneath it, where nobody is sure who is calling it in

Who actually owns the tank

In older blocks the tank is often the one piece of the building nobody has clear responsibility for. The watchman knows where it is, the owner has not thought about it in years, and the tenants only find out it exists when it backs up into the ground floor. If you are the watchman or building supervisor calling us, that is completely normal — most of our Abu Shagara calls come from exactly that person, and we can send the paperwork to whoever needs it afterwards.

If the building would be better on a fixed interval than on emergency calls, tell us and we will work out what it should be. See scheduled collection and commercial drainage for how that works.

Why Abu Shagara calls us

  • We know these streets

Tight kerbs, parked cars and covered access are the normal condition in Abu Shagara, not an obstacle we meet for the first time on your job.

  • Morning slots on purpose

We offer early attendance here because a street that is clear at seven is impassable at six in the evening.

  • Receipts for whoever is asking

Watchmen call us and owners pay us. We can hand over the discharge receipt and the job details for whoever needs them.

Compliance

Every load leaves licensed — and lands legally

Illegal discharge is the risk sitting behind every tanker hire in the UAE, and it is the customer who gets asked about it. Here is exactly what happens to your waste after our tanker pulls away.

  • Discharged at the municipality treatment plant

Every load we collect is discharged at the Sharjah Municipality sewage treatment plant in Al Sajaa. Nothing goes into storm drains, open ground or anywhere else.

  • Permitted tankers, licensed drivers

Our tankers carry Sharjah Municipality wastewater transport permits, and every vehicle is driven by an appropriately licensed heavy-vehicle driver.

  • Discharge receipt on request

Ask and we will hand over the discharge receipt from the treatment station — the proof facility managers and main contractors need for their own compliance files.

  • Third-party liability insured

The work is covered by third-party liability insurance, so your building or site is protected if anything goes wrong on the job.

Questions from Abu Shagara customers

A car is parked over our manhole. What happens?
It is the most common reason a visit is wasted in Abu Shagara, which is why we usually suggest an early slot before the street fills up. If you can get the car moved for the window we agree, the job takes an hour. If you cannot, tell us when you call +971 54 246 3788 and we will work out whether there is another access point.
Nobody knows where the tank cover is. Can you find it?
Usually, yes. In buildings of this age the cover is often under paving or tiling added later. Our crews find them regularly by following the run from the manhole and the building layout. Give us as much as you know when you call and allow a little extra time on the first visit.
I am the building watchman, not the owner. Can I book it?
Yes, and most of our calls here come from exactly that. Tell us the building and what is happening, and we will confirm the price before the tanker leaves. Afterwards we can provide the discharge receipt and job details for the owner or the management company.
Our shop drain keeps backing up. Is that a tanker job?
If the chamber or tank it discharges into is full, yes — emptying it is exactly our work. If the line itself is physically blocked or damaged, that is pipework and a different trade. Describe what you are seeing on +971 54 246 3788 and we will tell you honestly which one it sounds like rather than sending a tanker that cannot help.
